Privacy Policy

Effective date: 30 August 2026  |  Last updated: 30 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how BiharCreators.in (“BiharCreators”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you browse the website, create a profile, submit an enquiry, request a service or local-media coverage, apply to a campaign, or otherwise use the platform.

1. Information we collect

  • Account and contact data: name, email address, phone number, login details and communication preferences.
  • Professional or business profile data: category, district/service area, biography, pricing or quotation information, availability, portfolio, social links, images, videos and business details.
  • Enquiry and transaction-related data: service or coverage requirements, campaign applications, proposals, quotations, status updates, messages and records you choose to submit. Unless expressly stated at checkout, payments are made directly between users and BiharCreators does not store full card or bank credentials.
  • Verification and safety data: identity, business or supporting documents submitted through private verification fields, moderation reports and fraud-prevention records.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser/device information, pages viewed, referral source, cookies, approximate location derived from IP, login and security logs.
  • Information from third parties: data received when you use embedded or linked services, social platforms or payment providers, subject to their policies.

2. Public and private information

Profile fields intended for discovery—such as display name, category, district, biography, portfolio, public social links, profile image and listed services—may be visible publicly and may appear in search engines. Contact details, passwords and private verification documents are not intended for public display. Do not place identity documents, home addresses, bank details or other sensitive information in public fields.

3. Why we use information

  • to create and operate accounts, profiles, listings, campaigns, enquiries and applications;
  • to connect customers, creators, service professionals, local-media professionals and businesses;
  • to verify submitted information, moderate content, investigate reports and prevent fraud or misuse;
  • to provide security, password-reset, service, account and campaign communications;
  • to analyse and improve performance, accessibility and user experience;
  • to comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms and protect users and the platform;
  • to send marketing messages where permitted, with an available opt-out.

4. Consent and choices

Where consent is the appropriate basis, we request it for a clear purpose and you may withdraw it by contacting us or using the available account or unsubscribe controls. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing invalid and may prevent us from providing a feature that requires the information.

5. When information is shared

We may share information: (a) with another user when you submit an enquiry, application or agree to be contacted; (b) with hosting, email, analytics, security, moderation and other service providers acting for us; (c) with payment providers when an enabled payment feature is used; (d) where required by law or a lawful authority; or (e) to protect rights, safety and platform integrity. We do not sell personal information. Public profile information can be viewed, copied or shared by visitors outside our control.

6. Cookies, analytics and embedded services

We use necessary cookies for login, security, language and preferences. Analytics or performance technologies may be used to understand site usage. Embedded or linked services such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and payment providers may collect information under their own policies. Browser settings can block some cookies, but parts of the platform may then not work correctly.

7. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including account operation, enquiries, completed campaigns, safety, fraud prevention, dispute handling and legal or tax obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. Deleted data may remain temporarily in secure backups or where preservation is legally required.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls and security monitoring. No online system is completely secure. Keep your password and OTP confidential and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

9. Children and minors

Users under 18 must participate with verifiable consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. A guardian must approve commercial commitments and should control the sharing of a minor’s personal information. Report any profile or content that may endanger a child.

10. Your rights and requests

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction, completion or deletion of your personal information; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; ask how a grievance was handled; and nominate another person to exercise applicable rights in the event of death or incapacity. We may verify identity or authority before acting and may retain information where lawfully required.

11. International services

Some hosting, analytics, communications or linked-service providers may process data outside India. Where this occurs, we use providers and safeguards reasonably appropriate to the service and applicable law.

12. Account deletion and grievances

To request account deletion, exercise a privacy right or report a concern, email info@biharcreators.in with your name, account email, relevant profile or URL and a clear description. Please do not email identity documents unless we specifically request them through a secure process.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy when our services or legal obligations change. The revised date will appear above, and material changes may also be communicated through the platform or email. This operational policy should be reviewed by qualified Indian legal counsel as paid, escrow or materially different services are introduced.
